Conrad Terry “Doc” Whitacre, 95, of Salem and formerly of Minerva passed away on April 30, 2012 at Essex 3 of Salem. He was born to Terry and Jessie Isabelle (Huffnagle) Whitacre on August 18, 1916 in Leetonia, Ohio. Mr. Whitacre was a World War II Veteran, a member of the Elks of Salem B.P.O.E. 305, Salem Senior Citizens Group, the Saxson Retirees, VFW and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife Lois, daughters Connie (Ken) Burkey and Dora Lee Sandoe. He is also survived by a brother Darren (Dorothy) Whitacre and three stepsons, Dennis (Brenda) Kuttler, Randy (Diane) Kuttler and David (Penny) Kuttler, 3 grandchidlren and 3 great grandchildren as well as 8 step grandchildren and 16 great step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 1 step daughter. Per his request his no services will be held, Cremation will take place and burial will take place at Oakdale Cemetery.
