Anna L Cobbs

Anna L. Cobbs, 93 of Sebring, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Copeland Oaks. Anna was born in Damascus on October 13, 1922 the daughter of the late J. Murray and Iva Mary (Denny) Jones. She was a graduate of Goshen High School and worked at Sebring Pottery, Taylor Craft and as a secretary for the Evangelical Friends Church Eastern Region for 29 years. Anna is a member of Damascus Friends Church and Damascus Magazine Club. Anna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her son Ted (Kay) Cobbs of Alliance; daughter Patricia (Galen) Rummell of Damascus; sister Erma Hoopes of DeCateur, GA.; four grandchildren Joe (Emily) Cobbs of Cincinnati, OH., Karen (Ian) Coffee of Salem, Alicia (Matt) Navyac of Salem, and Abby (Andrew) Quast of Honolulu, HI.. Besides her parents Anna was preceded in death by her husband Virgil; two sisters Hazel Hopkins, Effie Borton and a brother Oren Jones.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Damascus Friends Church with Pastor John Ryser officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home and the hour prior to the service on Thursday from 10-11AM at the church. Burial will take place at Damascus Cemetery.
