Anna Mae Zeppernick, 88 of Sebring passed away at her home peacefully with her family at her side and the kind loving support from the nurses and aides of Alliance Visiting Nurse and Hospice on Sunday, January 24, 2016. Anna was born in New Waterford, Ohio on January 16, 1928, the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Ward) Kerns.  She was a graduate of Salem High School a member of the class of 1946; she was employed at GC Murphy Stores in Salem and Alliance.  Anna Mae loved to sew, especially embroidering. She also enjoyed reading and working on jigsaw puzzles, collecting bears, dogs and other miniatures. She loved buying items from QVC buying things for not only herself but her family. Visiting the Concern in Sebring was a favorite pastime. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.  Mrs. Zeppernick was a member of the Sebring Church of Christ and a member of the Holly Rebekah Lodge #747 for 65 years as well as a member of the Shrine Ladies auxiliary at the Tadmor Temple in Akron.

Survivors include her two children; Kenneth R (Dery Paxson) Zeppernick of Sebring, Tracy A. (John) Galizio of Cuyahoga Falls, 4 grandchildren; Kevin R. (Kenna) Zeppernick of New Albany, OH, Ryan A. (Bekah) Zeppernick of Henderson, NV, Regina Galizio and Vito Galizio both of Cuyahoga Falls.  She is also survived by a sister Norma (Henry) Bergenstein of Sebring and 7 great grandchildren; Kennison, Kennedy, Noah, Ethan, Eli, Jazlynn and Guiliana.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her step father Martin Lutsch, her husband Russell Zeppernick Jr. in 1982 whom she married on June 12, 1948 and her son Richard A. in 2002. 

A Private Funeral service will take place at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Ray Harris officiating.  Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions or donations can be made in Anna Mae’s honor to Alliance VNA and Hospice 2461 West State Street Suite E, Alliance, OH 44601.
