Dean A. Roush

Dean A. Roush 85, of Sebring passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Dean was born in Haydenville, Ohio on March 6, 1932 the son of the late Andrew L. and Florence (Crothers) Roush. He was a Us Air Force Veteran and was stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas where he served as the Editor of the Sheppard Senator in 1955, in early adulthood he could be found Pitching at several area Sandlots but as he got older he enjoyed watching baseball, football and enjoyed playing golf. Dean retired as a Railroad Clerk from Norfolk Southern Railroad (formerly Nickel Plate) after 43 years of service in 1994. In December of 2004 he and his wife moved to Copeland Oaks and he started to participate in the Choral there and enjoying retirement. People will remember Dean for his humor and stories.

Survivors include his wife Sandra Roush whom he married on June 7, 1986 of Sebring two daughters; Karen (Roger) Osivnik of Akron, Bonnie (Wayne) Wallace of North Royalton, three step children; Sherry (Joseph) McCumber of Champion, Terri (Edward) Kozlowski of Pierpont and Jacqueline Kochis of Parma. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren: Aaron, David, Micah, Maria Osivnik, Nicholas, Brooke Wallace, Lindsay, Nicole Wheeler, Casey, Keith, Warren Kozlowski and 1 great granddaughter Madelyn Kozlowski and a sister Janet (Ray) Benton. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard Roush.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alliance, Ohio at 11:00 AM with Rev. Timothy Muse officiating. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will take place on Tuesday at Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinckley, Ohio at 3:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made in Dean's honor to the Life Care Fund at Copeland Oaks, 800 South 15th Street, Sebring, OH 44672.
