Welcome to the memorial page for

Delbert F Shutler

August 2, 1971 ~ November 19, 2016 (age 45) 45 Years Old

In order for stars to truly shine, you must see them in the darkest of nights. Our dark night comes in announcing the passing of one of our brightest stars due to an automobile accident. Beloved father, husband, brother, son and friend, Delbert F. Shutler III passed away on 11-19-2016. Delbert was born on 08-02-1971 to Mary E. Shutler(McNeal) and Delbert F. Shutler II and went on to build a life with his wife, Wendy Gorman.

Delbert may have been many things, but his biggest and most honorable feature was his selflessness. He would help anyone without hesitation and would try his best to get/give whatever was needed. He worked for many years as a mechanic for many local shops, including Ray Drenan's in Beloit, Jeff's Auto in Beloit and Courtesy Auto in Sebring. He was also a favorited delivery man for Gionino's Pizza in Alliance. Outside of working he loved fishing, much like his sister, Amy Shutler, and his father, both of whom preceded him in death. He also loved going to yard sales, cooking out, going to the Demolition Derby and spending time with his family and many friends.  Anyone who knew Delbert could always count on him to be listening to good-old fashioned country music with that being said... George Jones once asked "Who's gonna fill their shoes?" and the answer is, no one. Our family could not possibly imagine anyone filling the shoes Delbert leaves behind.

Delbert is survived by his wife and their son, Delbert Shutler IV, as well as 4 other children; Cherokee, Cheyenne and Hunter Shutler and Cody Huffman. He is also survived by his mother and two siblings, Dawn Shutler and Robby Shutler, as well as his former spouse, Brandy Reese. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins as well as an abundance of friends and coworkers.

At Delbert's request a cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held for family and friends at Calvary Pentecostal Church 206 W. Maryland Ave in Sebring, Ohio on Saturday 11-26-2016 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring, Ohio.

Delbert, we promise to "Prop ya up beside the jukebox" like you always wanted. Rest Easy. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home Sebring, OH (330) 938-2526.
