John E. Briggs

John E. Briggs 96 of Sebring, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Crandall Medical Center.  John was born in Sebring on September 5, 1919 the son of the late John B. and Wilma (Herrington) Briggs; he was a US Army veteran and retired from Royal China as VP of Production.  Mr. Briggs was also a life member of the VFW and the American Legion.

Survivors include his daughter Patricia (Robert) Slasor of Sebring, two grandchildren Michelle (Rob) Holodnak of Sebring, Tiffany Slasor of Salem, three great grandchildren; Emma Holodnak, Robyn Holodnak and Carter Holodnak.  He is also survived by a brother Donald (Lois) Briggs and a sister Martha Kilbreath both of Alliance.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn (Shearrow) a daughter Sandra and a brother Roger.
