Marie Griffith

Marie E. (Crewson) Griffith, 91 of Sebring, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Copeland Oaks. Marie was born in Sebring on March 3, 1925 the daughter of the late Howard and Anna (Blake) Crewson. She was a 1943 graduate of Sebring McKinley High School and worked at Limoge China Co., Bettis Box and WT Grant Company. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a former member of the Eastern Star and was also a Girl Scout leader. Marie enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading, flowers, playing cards, working outdoors but most of all she cherished the time spent with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter Coleen (Michael) Hamon of Sebring; a brother Raymond (Dolores) Crewson; sister Shirley (Neel) Abney; three grandchildren Eric Hamon of Sebring, Todd (Crystal) Hamon of Cuyahoga Falls and Lindsay (Joshua) Richards of Cuyahoga Falls; five great grandchildren Madison, Aiden and Mason Richards, Chloe and Carly Schneiders. Besides her parents Marie was preceded in death by her husband Wayne B. Griffith whom she married March 20, 1947; two brothers Leland and John and a great granddaughter Courtney Hamon.  

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Kimball officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home and the hour prior to the service on Thursday from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Sebring.
