I don't get the newspaper, but I had found the memorial page for a wonderful lady.

Mrs. K. - It was fun to get her off of the subject of diagramming sentences to hear her talk of her travels to Europe and two countries I had not been to-Ireland and England. She had great details and I was not ready for Dangling Participles-Yikes!

I appreciated Mrs. K and her dedication to teaching, she was no-nonsense and would help you if you asked as she was also dedicated to teaching the King's English without the slang of the day getting in the way.

Thank you, Mrs. K. You are much appreciated, even in the years later when I would see you at No Frills with your Mr. who also was very nice gentleman. It was nice to see you both and help you with your groceries or finding a product for you in the store.

Thank you also for helping us become more knowledgeable to spell and speak English more clearly.

May God Bless and Keep You and Your Entire Family.

Sincerely,

David Bush

A beautiful teacher who meant the world to me. So glad to be able to connect with you tonight. She taught me a love of poetry that extends now to my grandchildren. Thanks you Martha for caring for your students. I am one who has benefited more than you know.

What a special human being Mrs. K was. But one has to be special to be a teacher. My sister-in-law Mary and I,recited the poem about "Fire and Ice" last night as we talked about Mrs.K. Heather and I put our pointer fingers up and said "Hi Friend" as she always did passing everyone in the halls. We will always remember you by the school, around the school, inside the school, in front of the school, and especially among us in school.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Mrs. Kilbreath passing!! She was without a doubt my favorite teacher, just a couple weeks ago I was looking at the program from Annie Get your gun that she convinced me that I had talent enough to be in it, she took me under her wing and changed my life!! I will never forget her. I still to this day remember many of the poems we had to learn in her class and the books she had us read!! My heart and prayers go out to the family!! God bless you in this difficult time. xxx

Doug & Family,

What a wonderful lady Martha was. I have been to Stratford on Avon, seen Shakespeare performed in London, and visited Robert Frost’s grave in Vermont. I love good literature to this day, just for the sake of itself. I have taken the time to see these places and spent a lifetime enjoying good literature, all because she took the time to share her love of literature with me in English class so many years ago.

You have our deepest sympathy at this time. May God give you comfort in your time of loss. May you also find comfort in how many student's lives Martha touched, as evidenced by the number of former students that have signed this guest register.

I've been thinking about this lady a lot over the past few months. May she RIP. This was my very favorite teacher at MAPLE RIDGE School grade school.I remember being invited to house to help grade papers for her. There Was a group of her students that went that evening to grade papers. After we were finished she gave us chocolate chip mint ice cream. She was a great person

Mrs. Kilbreath was my favorite teacher and I've thought about her numerous times throughout the years. I remember her taking a few of us girls home with her to grade papers. That would have been 1959-60. So glad she had a long life and hope she didn't suffer in passing.
