Norma L. (Kerns) Bergenstein

Norma L. Bergenstein, 84 of Sebring passed away at her home on Monday, September 5, 2016.  Norma was born in Salem, Ohio on September 13, 1931 the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Ward) Kerns; she attended Salem City Schools where she will be remembered as a Majorette in the marching band.  Norma worked for several companies as a Bookkeeper throughout her adult life. She enjoyed reading a good book and loved to do puzzles and word searches.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years Henry Bergenstein whom she married on December 2, 1966 of Sebring, her children; William Bergenstein of Willoughby, John Bergenstein of Sebring, Shaunna (Paul) Riedel of Mentor, Michael (Linda) Bergenstein of Florida, Valerie (Ron) Stout of Medina, Robert (Beverly) Bergenstein of Oklahoma and Joann Foster of West Virginia and Scott (Cindy) Bergenstein of Gahanna.  She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Lois and Nancy and a sister Anna Mae Zeppernick.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown funeral home with Pastor Mike Kimball officiating. Visitation will be held the hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 11AM-12PM.  Memorial contributions may be made in Norma’s honor to Alliance VNA/Hospice 2461 West State Street, Suite E, Alliance, OH 44601.
