Patricia A. Patek

Patricia A. Patek went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 2nd, 2016. She was born July 28th, 1933, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Helen Vasey. She lived her life enjoying movies, books, card games, and spending time with friends and family. Everyone who knew her enjoyed her witty humor and funny outlook on life. She relished any chance to take walks and to spend time with her grandchildren; she could often be seen doing both at the same time. Lost by her passing is her uncanny football winner picking ability, a skill that earned her many a dollar in friendly bets on Sunday afternoons. 

She is survived by her two sons, John Patek II (Carol) and Dave Patek (Karen); her two daughters, Debbie Patek and Tina Basile (Jeff); her seven grandchildren and her eight great-grandchildren.

Even though Pat chose to forego calling hours or a memorial service, she was always adamant about remembering her at her best. Remember her smile, her humor, and her confident demeanor. Pat wanted the remembrance and love of those who knew and loved her, but didn’t want her passing to be a cause for grief. Instead, crank up a Queen song and smile at some good memories; that really is the best sendoff we can give her.
