Ray Elwood Green, 82 of Sebring passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Crandall Medical Center.  Ray was born in Hartville on August 9, 1932, the son of the late Harry and Mabel (Werstler) Green; he was a graduate of Marlboro High School and worked for the Hoover Company, retiring after 32 years of service. Ray was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and was a past member of Mended Hearts and Smith Grange.  He enjoyed boating and loved to be at the lake.  He also enjoyed farming and restoring his tractors. He was a “Jack of all Trades” and was well known for being able to fix anything.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Saundra Green of North Benton, whom he married on July 26, 1956; two daughters; Melanie Miller of San Diego, CA, Robin (Jim) Green of North Canton; a son Timothy (Pam) Green of Marlboro; four grandchildren Reagan, Lauren, Kristin and Jenna. Ray was also survived by a brother Don Green of Hartville, two sisters, LaVera Moore of Hartville, Doris Thornberry of Marlboro.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Calvin.

A Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 pm on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor  Dennis Engle officiating.  Friends may call the hour prior to the service on Friday from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the church.  Interment will take place at Hartzell Cemetery.
