Robert E. Warner 85 of Salem, a loving husband, father and grandfather went home to be with the Lord on March 4, 2017. He was born February 29, 1932, in Alliance, Ohio; the son of the late Cecil C. Warner and Mary M. (Green) Warner. Robert graduated from Alliance High School and served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was employed by Ohio Edison for 42 years working his way up from a substation electrician to substation foreman, retiring at the age of 62. He served as secretary for the local Electricians Union. Robert enjoyed hunting, archery, fishing and wood working as well as crafting. He spent many hours playing cards and board games and just visiting with family and friends. He attended the Nazarene Church in Sebring, Ohio.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Beverly Jo (Walters) Warner. They had seven children including 2 daughters and daughter-in-law Irene Maurer, Linda (Gary) Smith and Susan (Craig) Warner. His sons are Robert (Cheryl) Warner Jr., Randy Warner, Jeff Warner, Michael (Caren) Warner, 14 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren. Also, left to cherish Robert’s memory are his siblings, Clarence (Charlene) Warner, Mary Jane Kriner, Susan Milburn, Bill (Edna) Warner, Shirley (Roy) Underwood, Nancy Ludwig, Peggy (Bill) Delawder, Beverly Nichols, Carol (Warren) Long and David Warner. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Craig.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown funeral home in Sebring with Rev. Mike Kimball officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday the hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made in Robert’s memory and honor to The Columbiana County Humane Society,1825 South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, OH 44460.
