Warren C Wilson

Warren C. Wilson 92, of Salem passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem.  Warren was born on May 18, 1923 in Champaign County, Ohio the son of the late Warren A. and Ethel (Slusser) Wilson.  He was a US Army WWII Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater.  Warren was a member of Salem First United Methodist Church, he enjoyed working in his shop especially woodworking, going fishing and just spending time with his family and friends when he was able.

            Survivors include his wife of 69 years Martha (Weingart) of Salem, three children Harold Carl Wilson of Salem, Jean Elaine (Carl) Phillips of Salem and Earl Eugene (Becky) Wilson of North Benton, a brother-in-law Melvin (Mary Lou) Weingart; 7 grandchildren; Rebecca (Greg) Hudson of Columbus, Adam (Susan) Wilson of Youngstown, Marie (Ramon) Hernandez of Salem, Barbara (Shawn) Heverly of Salem, Samuel Phillips of Beloit, Benjamin (Michelle) Phillips of North Carolina, Jonathan (Jordan) Wilson of Salem, 6 great grandchildren Brent Phillips, Andrea Heverly, Abby Heverly, Cole Phillips, Carly Phillips, Jarrett Wilson and three step great grandchildren; Alex, Drew and Dane and many nieces and nephews.  Beside his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son Dale Lee Wilson, a daughter in law Lillian Kay Wilson and his sister Christine Severyn.

            Funeral Services for Warren will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Brown funeral home at 2:00 PM, friends may call at the funeral home the hour prior to the service.  Burial will take place at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
