William D. Willis

William D.  Willis, 81, of Alliance passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Canterbury Nursing Home. William was born on March 3, 1935 in Minerva, OH. to James and Elizabeth (Worm) Willis. He worked as an electrician at Morgan Engineering and was United States Army Veteran. William enjoyed yardwork, football, riding bikes, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Maria (Mutsch), who he married in 1958; son William “Bill” (Nancy) Willis of Alliance; daughter Erika Leeds of Cincinnati; grandchildren Steven Meiring, Gloria Meiring, Matthew Willis, Lindsay Smeltzer, Elizabeth Willis; great grandchildren Brittany Taylor, Amber Wauffull, Sam Willis, Anthony Jordan, Landyn Powell, Zachary Powell and Nevaeh Santee; brothers Robert Willis of Minerva,; sisters Jane Unkefer of Columbiana and Winifred Betz of Louisville. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Buster, Leland, Ralph, James, Wilbur, Perry and Richard and a sister Joetta.
