Jesse Hollingshead Obituary

Jesse W. Hollingshead, aged 52, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024, in Youngstown, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and an unquenchable zest for life. Born on July 11, 1971, in Sullivan, Missouri, Jesse was a man who embraced life with both hands and inspired those around him with his multifaceted talents.

Jesse was a father to his four children, LaTresa Wright, Theresa Hollingshead, Jesse Hollingshead II, and Lillian Hollingshead. His love extended to his three grandchildren, Coral Hollingshead, Dason Wright, and Jaxon Wright, who brought immense joy and laughter into his world.

Born to parents Pearl and Bonnie (Coplin) Hollingshead, Jesse was one of seven siblings. He grew up alongside his brothers Paul, Randy, Jerry, and Rodney, and sisters Tammy Hollingshead and Judy Starks. His family remembers him as a bright light, always ready with a helping hand or a comforting word. Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Pearl, and his sister, Nancy Gilbert. Their memories remain a cherished part of his family's story.

Professionally, Jesse was known as a skilled roofer, a trade that showcased his commitment to hard work. Beyond his work, Jesse was a true jack of all trades. He had a curiosity and a natural talent for drawing, tattooing, working on cars, motorcycles, and computers. His artistic abilities were evident in the intricate designs he created, whether on paper, skin, or the restoration of a car. Friends and family often sought his expertise, knowing that Jesse could fix almost anything with a bit of ingenuity and determination.

In his personal life, Jesse was known for his generous spirit and infectious laughter. He was a man who made friends easily and maintained those connections with genuine care and attention. His presence was a comfort, his advice sought after, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

As we say goodbye to Jesse W. Hollingshead, we celebrate a life lived with passion and purpose. We hold onto the memories, the laughter, and the lessons he imparted. Though he has left this earthly realm, his spirit continues to inspire us to approach life with the same boldness and heart that he did every single day.

The family would like to remember him this verse from Psalm 27:1, The Lord is my salvation; I will fear no one. The Lord protects me from all danger; I will never be afraid.

Jesse's life will be commemorated in a private gathering, where family and friends will share stories, honor his memory, and bid farewell to a man who was truly one of a kind. He will be missed, but never forgotten, as his enduring spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
