Steven C Edie

Steven C. Edie Sr. 63 of Damascus passed away on Thursday, August 20,2020 at Aultman Hospital. Steven was born on January 20,1957, the son of the late Charles and Peggy (Greiner) Edie. He was a 1975 graduate of West Branch Schools. He worked for 30 years as a Machinist at Sebring Fluid and Power. Steve has served as an umpire for the Hot Stove League, OSHAA Boys Baseball and Girls Softball and an OHSAA Little Warriors referee for both boys and girls basketball for more than 25 years. He was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Sports fan. He enjoyed all kinds of sports especially; bowling, euchre and golf. However, spending time with his family, friends and his dog Baylee was at the top of his list.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Debra (Rockwell) Edie and their children; Steven (Tammy) Edie Jr. of Hartville and Sean (Allyson) Edie of Sebring. Steve also leaves behind his grandchildren; Zach Stutzman, Jordan Stutzman Brooklyn Horner, Owen Horner, and his siblings: Debbie (Sam) Martig, Patricia Edie, Mark (Jody) Edie and Frank (Tonya) Edie as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Michael Edie and his father and mother-in-law Robert and Jean Rockwell.

Services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home in Sebring on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 12:00 PM with Certified Celebrant David Peterson officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home the day of the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Burial will take place at Damascus Friends Cemetery, Damascus, Ohio.
