George Amabeli

George Amabeli, 88 of Alliance passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Community Care Center surrounded by his family. George was born on January 29, 1930 to the late Marino and Teresa (Ballatori) Amabeli in Sebring, Ohio. He graduated from Sebring High School in 1949 and later worked for Alliance Machine. George was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Curch in Alliance where he served as an usher, Trentino Alpine Club of Alliance and the K-C Council 558. He enjoyed meeting for breakfast with his buddies and driving for Lavery Chevrolet. Above all he enjoyed polka dancing with his wife Ruby and spending time with his family.

George is survived by his wife Ruby (Rinaldi) who he married on June 14, 1958; children David (Laura) Amabeli, Dan (Susan) Amabeli; grandchildren Matt (Sarah), Mark (Natalie), Rachel and Julie and a great-grandson Luca. Besides his parents George was preceded in death by a twin brother Tony and a brother Jim and a sister Florence Brindack.

A mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Father Matthew Mankowski officiating. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made in George's honor to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 427 E. Broadway Ave. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
