Lois Hoopes Obituary
Jane Hoopes 94 of Sebring passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Jane was a devoted wife of 65 years to the late J. Floyd Hoopes; a loving mother of Larry (Karen) Hoopes, Robert Hoopes and Ross (Karen) Hoopes. Beloved grandmother of Nathaniel (Carolyn), Jason (Kathryn), Lauren (Enrique), Elizabeth (Robert), Rebecca (Andrew), Danielle, Pamela (fiance Rick), Robert, Morgan (Jonas) and Molly. Cherished great-grandmother of Brian, Hailey, Benjamin, Brandon, Emily, Eli, Cameron, Logan, Scott, Luke, Mathew and Kiah.
Jane was born in Sebring, Ohio on December 29, 1924, the middle child of Seth and Frances Sharpnack. She was a graduate of Sebring High School and afterwords attended business college. Jane worked for several years as an administrative assistant, both full and part-time, with employment at Speakman Insurance, Royal China and Parker-Hannifin from which she retired. Jane was a lifelong member at Pine Lake Christian Church, and served as a deaconess for several years.
Upon the passing of her husband, Jane relocated from their home of 60 years into the Copeland Oaks Retirement Community. Jane enjoyed the chance to renew many lifelong friendships, as well as establishing new friendships at Copeland Oaks.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Pine Lake Christian Church at 12:00 noon with Pastor Mike Bratton officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday the hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
