Lynda Mae (Dangel) Callahan

Lynda Mae Callahan, 70 of Salem passed away at her home on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Lynda was born in Salem, Ohio on July 10, 1947 the daughter of the late John and Ula Mae (Cobbs) Dangel. She worked on the Mold Tech Relief Crew at Ventra Salem for 35 years. Lynda enjoyed to be outdoors in her flower garden tending to her roses. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. When Lynda was not in her garden or sewing she would be found attending her favorite Truck and Tractor Pulls and Dirt Drag Racing.

Survivors include her companion of 35 years Phillip Malmsberry; her children Kevin (Lisa) Callahan, John (Leslie) Callahan, Karen (Keith) Miller, Amy Malmsberry-Kaye and Beth Hall; brothers John and Jeff Dangel; sister Elaine Loveland; grandchildren Amanda and Alana Callahan, Katelynn and Khali Miller, Jacob Callahan, Amanda (Nate) Arps, Drew Feiock, Courtney and Brittney Hall, Jonas and Aiden Kaye; great-granchild Theodore Huff. Lynda was preceded in death by her father.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Brown funeral home at 10:00 am with Pastor Matt Zook and Dave Slabaugh officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Burial will take place East Goshen Cemetery in Beloit. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Lynda’s honor to Hospice of the Valley 2388 B Southeast Blvd. Salem, Ohio 44460.
