Nancy Bell

Nancy Gene Bell, 83, of Columbiana, will forever be remembered by her family and friends as someone who was always mindful of others needs first, compassionate, resilient and humble. Nancy passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Parkside Health Care Center after an extended illness. Nancy was born in Salem on July 2, 1934 the daughter of the late Richard and Priscilla (Berry) Scullion. While raising nine children, she returned to school to receive her nursing degree, after which she worked for St. Elizabeth's Hospital until retirement.

Her children were her life. Survivors include her children; Dan (Elaine) Bell of NC, Dennis Bell of TN, Dick (Kathy) Bell of OR, Mike (Colleen) Bell of MN, Mark (Barb) Bell of Canton, Paul (Beth) Bell of NC, Darlene (Tim) McAllister of Lisbon, Tom Bell (Luis) of NC and a daughter-in-law Theresa Bell of MS. She is also survived by 44 grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a sister Judy Bell. She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick and a brother, Tom Scullion.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church in Columbiana (39 Cherry Street, Columbiana, Ohio 44408) with Rev. John Reed officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Salem from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Salem at a later date.
