Vernon Metts Obituary

Vernon E. Metts Jr., 75, of North Benton passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Vernon was born on February 4, 1944 in Salem, Ohio to the late Vernon and Marie (Voelker) Metts. Vernon was an active member of the Lake Milton American Legion Post 737.

Vernon is survived by his children Bruce, Brad, Brent and Ben Metts and Tammi Ball; brothers Harold and Gary Metts; sister Marie Ebert; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Besides his parents Vernon was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Marie (Zimmerman) Metts and a son Brian.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home with Chaplain John C. Chittock officiating. Friends will be received two hours prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Berlin Center North Cemetery with his wife and family. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Vernon's honor to the Western Reserve Music Boosters. 13850 W. Akron Canfield Rd. Berlin Center, Ohio 44401.
