William Axline Obituary

William Dennis Axline, 70 of North Benton, Ohio passed away at his home on November 3, 2018 surrounded by his family. William was born in Akron, Ohio on October 21, 1948 to William and Velda (Tharp) Axline. He was a graduate of Green High School in Akron. He served in the United States Army as a Sargent in the Vietnam War following that he worked as an EMT for AMR Ambulance and was a member of Deerfield Fire Department. William enjoyed flying, golfing, fishing, hunting, boating and NASCAR. He was a Lifetime Member of the Sebring VFW, American Legion and served on the Sebring Honor Guard.

William is survived by his mother Velda, wife Teri (Craft) Axline whom he married on November 20, 1980; children William (Laura) Axline II, Jeremy Axline, Shawn (Michelle) Axline, Melissa (Joe) Speck and Stacey George; brothers Richard (Lori) Axline and Terry (Phyllis) Axline; grandchildren Brennan, Devon, Jaxon, Preston, Samantha, Claire, Joseph, Ashleigh and a great grandson. William was preceded in death by his father William Russell Axline in 1991.

A funeral service will take place at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Herb Goetz officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Inurnment will take place in Rittman at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by Salem Honor Guard. Friends and family may sign the guest register and view the obituary online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
