David Allison

David "Dave" Allison, 66, of Deerfield passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Aultman Hospital in Canton surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 30, 1954 in Salem, Ohio to Donald and Joyce (Jenkins) Allison. He worked at Modern China, was a dispatcher for FireCom and attended Deerfield Friends Church. Dave has served his community through the Deerfield Fire Department for 43 years starting in 1978 and currently as the Assistant Chief.

Dave is survived by his loving wife Dianne (Balogh) Allison whom he married June 25, 1977; his children Brian (Stefanie) Allison of North Benton and Melissa (Mike) Boyd of Kent; father Donald Allison; siblings Bill (Holly) Allison, Mike (Kenny) Allison, and a sister Dawn Ann (Mark) Plumley; three grandchildren Lexie Allison, Aiden Allison and Mason Boyd. Dave was preceded in death by his mother Joyce.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Deerfield Town Hall, 1450 St. Rt. 14 Deerfield, Ohio 44411 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jody Hill officiating. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the funeral home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and the hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Town Hall. A fire department walk through will take place on Tuesday at 6:00 PM followed by a drive by at 7:00 PM. Interment will take place at Hartzell Cemetery in North Benton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Deerfield Fire Department Association, PO Box 129, Deerfield, Ohio 44411.
