Lewis Woods Obituary

Lewis J. Woods, 89 of Sebring passed away at his home on Sunday, July 17, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Beloit, Ohio on July 31, 1932 the son of the late Lewis B. and Della (Wright) Woods. After graduation from Beloit High School he enlisted in the US Marine Corps serving during the Korean War. Lewis enjoyed traveling with his wife, and spending winters in Florida. He was a member the Sebring American Legion, Sebring Masonic Lodge #626, where he served as Past Master, Lewis was also a member of Tadmor Shrine Valley of Akron, the Alliance Shrine Club and Tadmor Nomads.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years Lucia (Hunter) Woods whom he married on January 1, 1975. He is also survived by a daughter Lynnette (Woods) Beetler, son Thomas Woods, son James (Jeannine) Traner, son Bill Traner, five grandchildren; Shanna (Jeremy) Grimes, Jayson (Jennifer) Woods, Rindi (Derek) Hartman, Blake (Alicia) Beetler, Christopher (Ashlee) Traner, and six great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceeded in death by a daughter Luanne Couts-Milbourn, son Jay Lee Woods, and a grandson Bryan Beetler, sister Wilma Visi, two brothers Willard Woods and Ronald Woods. Lewis' family would like to thank his care givers, family and friends for all of their love and support.

Per his request there will be a service at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to The Shriner's Children's Hospital, 1645 W 8th St, Erie, PA 16505.
