Phyllis Waskivich Obituary
Phyllis Irene (Wilt) Waskivich, 80, of Sebring, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Altercare of Alliance. Phyllis was born on December 27, 1939 to Kenneth and Dorothy (Reichart) Wilt. Phyllis lost her mother at a very young age therefore being raised by Kenneth's second wife Bernadine.
Phyllis worked at Grithe Brothers Boxing Company in Sebring and the Harvest Inn in Homeworth. She worked as a cook and bartender at the American Legion Post 76 retiring in 1995. She enjoyed going to garage sales and cooking. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She especially liked spending time with her grandkids and great grandson. Phyllis's family would like to thank Alliance Hospice and the staff at Altercare for their kindness and loving care during her stay.
Phyllis is survived by 3 sons Cary Schaffer of Sebring, Kevin (Laurie Stark) Schaffer of Salem, and Douglas (Kim) Schaffer of Westville Lake. She also leaves 2 brothers Thomas Wilt and Kenneth Wilt, both of Sebring; a sister Deborah (Jeff) Flickenger of Beloit; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Besides her parents Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Joseph and a son Dirk.
A private family interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Sebring, Ohio. The family invites friends to join them on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 12:00 PM at American Legion Post 76 in Sebring for a pot luck luncheon in Phyllis's honor.
