Randy Blythe Obituary

Randy Allen Blythe 60 of Lisbon passed away at Salem Regional Medical Center on Wednesday March 3,2021 of heart and kidney failure. He was born in Salem, Ohio on November 23,1961 the son of Orville and Mary Ann Blythe. He was a construction worker, worked as an assistant manager for Shoney's in Youngstown and Hermitage, PA and while in Indianapolis, Indiana he worked for Ice Pack. He was a graduate of Lisbon High School and received a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Ashland College. Randy was an avid fisherman, fishing with his cousin Nick Bookman (with whom he resided with for a 3 year period, David Hartman and also his companion dog C.J.

Besides his parents Randy is survived by a brother Michael (Lisa) Blythe of Salem, a nephew Wesley Blythe, a niece Elizabeth Blythe Gilbert and close cousins Jeri Nelis-Johnson, Sonny Johns, Brenda Bookman as well as his many other family members and close neighborhood friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved dog C.J. his paternal grandparents Orville and Edith Blythe and maternal grandparents Moritz "Mike" and Louise Hartman.

No services will be held but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the American Kidney Foundation 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852 and the American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association 300 S. Riverside Plaza Ste 1200 Chicago, IL 60606-6637. The family would like to say a special thank you to those that made Randy's life easier in his struggle with his illness.
