Ruth A Switzer

Ruth Ann Switzer 72 of Sebring passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Ruth was born in Cranston, Rhode Island on April 17, 1947 the daughter of the late Raymond and Edith (Glassey) Martin. She was a graduate of Cranston High School and received additional training skills from the Navy Relief Center. Ruth enjoyed watching her favorite daytime television shows and could be found frequently playing electronic games. Besides helping her husband in many aspects of his naval career she served as Ombudsman for the different commands her husband Gary served.

Survivors include her husband Gary Switzer whom she married on April 3, 1971, her daughter Dawn Switzer of Philadelphia, PA and a granddaughter Aunisty Switzer. She is also survived by her brother Raymond Martin of Montgomery, AL and many nieces and nephews.

Per her request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Sebring Presbyterian Church with Pastor Marty Radcliff officiating. Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
