I'm am so sorry. Ray was such a great guy. I will always cherish the memories of him at the FBINA and our trip to New Orleans. May God bless your family.

What a great man. I'll miss him for my remaining days on earth. Ray was a great police officer and Marine. I'll miss our lunches and "choir practices" at the Legion with Danny, where we would lie to each other and tell war stories about what great crime fighters we were. He never made it to Florida
so I could show him how to play golf. Loved him like a brother.
Christ promises in Matthew 5:4 – blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.

Unfortunately because of work and a ssurgery I have we cannot make it. We feel horrible about this but our thoughts and prayers and every bit of love we have to offer is sent to Rays family. We grew up with Ray. He was a role model and a mentor to everyone from my generation and on down to the kids today. He was the true definition of a great caring and loving man. He will be sadly missed and god speed to all!! He was for sure someone that I as a man looked up to and he was always respectful and caring and would do anything to help even the common nuckle head like me. He beleived the best in people No matter what walk of life you were from.Heaven surely gained a true gardian and angel! Love to you all in your time of mourning!

To the Heverly family, I’m so sorry and saddened by your sudden loss. We graduated high school together and I always enjoyed seeing Ray and catching up. He always had a big smile and a tough hug for me. Ray was the type of guy that always made everyone feel better, by just being around him. A true gift few people have, but Ray had it. Over the years, I gained enormous respect for the solid leader and Officer he became in our community. I still remember when Ray came home from the Marines and his physical condition was off the charts. His arms were like rocks and you just knew not to mess with him :) He was a good friend and someone I’ll never forget. He will be sorely missed. God Bless all Heverly’s during this time.

What a wonderful man and what a great loss not only to his family but to a community that loved and respected him. So sad when we lose some one so very dear but he is needed elsewhere and he joins some of the finest ever. My heart goes out to all and just remember what he stood for and keep his memory alive, few know people this good.

I am so heartbroken over this news. My sympathies, thoughts and prayers go out to my aunt, uncle, cousins, Toy and the extended family.
I have lots of great memories of Ray to cherish. We were great cousins in that we complimented each other's personalities. You wouldn't know it as an adult with him singing in front of crowds, but he was pretty shy as a kid. I remember dragging him onto the dance floor at a cousin's wedding - getting him out of his shell - but also him teasing me and making me laugh. It's great to remember the laughter even with all these tears.
